After affirming his name in music industry with "" which was named 2010's U.S. biggest-selling album, is going to greet his fans on big screen. The rapper is eying a role in "" which is being made at 20th Century Fox, New York Magazine's Vulture reports.

The project was initially developed as "a poor man's version of video game Grand Theft Auto". Later, the script has undergone several changes with the latest one drafted by director/writer David Von Ancken telling a "thriller more akin to '' or ''."

Sources familiar with the movie's current draft say the story follows an ex-con smarter than his past who "is fresh out of prison and trying to stay legit - but his efforts are complicated by his old gang who wants him back on the job." The FBI wants him to return to the gang too in hope that he'll wear a wire and bring down the crime syndicate. The ex-con tries to play both sides against each other long enough to exact revenge against those - on both sides of the law - who sent him to prison in the first place.

says that the studio may seek another writer to polish the script but it is likely that the "" helmer is hired to direct when the script is ready later this year. Paul Rosenberg and Stuart Parr, who produced Eminem's 2002 feature debut "", will produce "Random Acts of Violence".

Eminem recently landed a cameo role in 's "". He is also linked to horror movie "" and boxing drama from Kurt Sutter, "". He was said to star in sex drama "", but his representative debunked the story.
